Michael is delighted to announce that he has been awarded the 2020 Royal Over Seas League Composition Award. The prize is a commission for the London Sinfonietta which will be performed in Summer 2021.

Michael is extremely grateful for such an opportunity, especially at such a precarious time.

He will be writing a 12-15 minute work for small chamber ensemble (flute, clarinet, piano, percussion, violin, cello) which will expand on his For Years Now, a set of two miniatures composed for the November workshop.

His thanks go to the awarding panel, to Geoff Parkin for his help through ROSL, and Jonathan Berman for conducting the workshop so expertly.
